Our Management Team

Gregg Salivan – President

Thirty years of experience and a business degree have earned Gregg the title of president of the company. He is responsible for strategic planning and business development within the company. He oversees and provides leadership, direction and support for the company’s three divisions.

Gregg has also been president of Landscape Ontario (Toronto Chapter), was the first chairman of the Grounds Management Commodity Group of Landscape Ontario and currently holds a position on the Landscape Ontario Provincial Board of Directors. Gregg is consistently involved in the industry’s commitment to growth through trade shows, awards shows and Landscape Ontario.

John Bontje – Maintenance Division Manager

Originally trained in Europe, John has completed his horticultural studies at the University of Guelph. His 20 years of experience in the landscape industry, paired with his attention to detail, maintain the level of professionalism and knowledge required to guide the maintenance department and assure our clients superior levels of service. John is responsible for maintenance tenders, quotation calls and day-to-day management of the department.

Lisandro Lorenzatti – Construction Division Manager

With an architectural science degree and 15 years of landscape construction and management experience, Lisandro is responsible for the short- and long-term decision making for the department. He has incorporated a team-structured environment based on company values to ultimately bridge the gap of communication between the client and/or the consultant and the company. He is responsible for design, daily decision making of the department, overseeing planning, staffing, quality control and direction of ongoing and future projects. Lisandro is also an associate member of the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects.

Paul Kostis – Chief Estimator/Project Manager

Six years experience as a certified construction estimator, Paul performs all construction tenders and quotation calls. He is dedicated to the planning, execution and closing of projects and is responsible for creating specific, clear and attainable project objectives. Paul works closely with our construction foremen, suppliers and design team to bring quality and cost effectiveness to specific projects, primarily in commercial projects.

David Albers – Construction Field Supervisor

With 30 years of construction experience, David assures that the construction department’s field operations get carried out in a safe and professional manner. His experience in large-scale construction projects, especially in waterfront works and concrete, is an asset to our firm. He is responsible for all foremen and their daily activities, including the advisement of construction techniques and project implementation to other managers. David is also part of our Health and Safety Committee.

Dan Rasmussens – Tropical Plant Division – Tropical Plant Division

Dan Rasmussens is a second generation horticulturalist with over 35 years of experience in the interior tropical plant industry. He completed his studies at Sir Sanford College in the area of Forestry. Dan has worked his entire career in the industry and with the highest standards of service has managed one of the largest tropical plant companies in the GTA. Dan’s expertise is installations, plant maintenance and the purchasing of tropical plants for a variety of clientele.

Darlene Rasmussens, who works with Dan, has over 17 years of experience in tropical plant design and display, from large gardens to small planters. Her expertise is in maintenance, seasonal and special tropical arrangements, with a variety of live and artificial plant materials.

Debbie Rigillo – Office Manager

With over 25 years experience in landscape, design building and construction administration, Debbie is in charge of contract administration and invoicing, supervision of clerical staff and general coordination of office activities. She also provides input to management on policies and procedures. Debbie is the head of our company’s Health and Safety Committee.

Donald Salivan – (1933–2008)

Don took over the company from Nicholas in 1958. His dedication to landscaping helped propel our company to become one of the largest operations in southern Ontario. His integrity, passion and commitment are the legacy upon which our company operates today.

He was a member of the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects, and a founding member of Landscape Ontario.
